Description
REQUIREMENTS: 10+ years of experience managing large, cross-functional,
enterprise-class information system projects in a sales, marketing or
customer service environment.
5+ years leading a staff of ten or more business process, systems and
reporting analysts. Focused expertise in business analytics, commercial
portals, reporting systems and data warehousing.
Extensive knowledge of the bio-tech/pharmaceutical industry and the
respective information sources and how the information is used in
executive level reports. Strong knowledge of data warehousing and
business analytics technology vendors such as:
(Cognos, Business Objects, Hyperion, etc.), enterprise reporting systems
(Crystal, Brio) and information portals.
Understanding of pharmaceutical/biopharma sales and marketing goals,
strategies, processes and tactics across multiple therapeutic areas.
Exceptionally strong project management skills and experience. Strong
written and verbal communication skills required. Exemplary presentation
and persuasion skills. Track record of customer focus and cross-functional
collaboration, teamwork, and leadership required. Strategic planning and
problem solving experience. Ability to represent and communicate technical
requirements and trade-offs in a business environment to facilitate effective
decision-making.
Experienced with effective change management. Demonstrated ability to work
independently, with minimal direction. High level of integrity and professional
maturity required. Strong analytical and organizational skills.Ability to
function and influence others in a matrix environment. Strong PC skills
(Excel, PowerPoint, Word, project management software). Bachelor's degree
in Business, IS, Accounting, or Systems Engineering required; MBA preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary objective of this position is to lead and manage
the group responsible for providing and delivering mission critical sales and
marketing information throughout company's commercial organization. This group
is responsible for the sales and marketing data warehouse, commercial business
analytics, reporting functions and the company's Business Information Portal.
Key responsibilities included: Managing and leading a large diverse
multi-disciplinary team responsible for developing and executing information
analytics/reporting systems and capabilities for the Commercial organization.
This team will identify, prioritize and resolve cross-departmental requirements,
issues and enable effective decision making for the organization.
Priorities would include: rigorous and consensus definitions of business
requirements for critical analytical information and reports; developing a
data architecture and infrastructure to support the presentation and delivery
of the reports; development of common data definitions; managing the on-going
process for prioritizing standard reports; defining maintenance policy and
procedures; and develop a robust technical architecture to support the
above efforts.
